Postcard Sized Perspectives
A Community Art Project
Connect, Create, Engage.
When was the last time you tapped into your innate sense of creativity and created something just for fun, without focusing on the end result?
Postcard Sized Perspectives aims to ignite creativity, encourage self-expression, and strengthen Noosa Shire community bonds through postcard-sized artworks, culminating in a community exhibition on Thursday, 5th September. The beauty of this project is that there is no set theme – participants are encouraged to follow their creative instincts and choose subjects that resonate with them. While a prompt sheet will be provided for inspiration, imaginations are free to roam and create something truly unique. Regardless of your artistic background, we encourage you to participate!
Any uncollected artworks will be installed as a semi-permanent exhibition in the local Tewantin ‘Wash n’ Tumble’ laundromat. In today’s digital age, it’s easy to lose touch with each other and the joy of creating. Let’s change that together!
How can you participate?
Attend a Workshop: Join one of the artist-led workshops with Lucy Laino and Charlotte Wensley, hosted by Mark Makers Art Studio, Tewantin. Explore, experiment, and find joy in the creative process with a large range of 2D materials and mediums such as collage, paint, printmaking, and drawing. Bookings are essential and can be made through the link below.
Create at Home: If you are unable to attend one of the workshops, or you would like a friend or family member to participate, you can collect your postcard and instructions from selected local businesses below and create your artwork at home! This project is in collaboration with local organisations QCWA, Tewantin Primary School, Sunshine Butterflies, and ARCARE, who will host artist-led workshops to engage a wider and more inclusive community. This project is proudly supported by Noosa Council through a Regional Arts Development Fund grant, ensuring the workshops are accessible for all. The RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Noosa Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Through this initiative, we hope to reduce loneliness and promote mindfulness, grounding us in the present moment and nurturing a supportive, creative community.
Let’s make our mark on the world – one artwork at a time.

Lucy Laino
Lucy Laino is a re-emerging artist and experienced art teacher, working from her Mark Makers Art Studio in Tewantin. Returning to Noosa after an 18 year sojourn in Tasmania, she draws upon the natural environment exploring shapes, pattern and texture, with a focus on repetition in order to create new narratives and interpretations. Obsessed with fine lines and details she works primarily on paper and canvas, experimenting with an ever-changing array of mediums and processes including printmaking, photography and collage.
Charlotte Wensley
Charlotte is a 2D abstract mixed media artist living and working on the Sunshine Coast. Her abstract paintings unfold through curiosity, inquiry and a liminal approach to her mixed media work.
