Switch Off & Draw - A Mindful Drawing Workshop

When your brain is full of lists, jobs, conversations and all the things you think you should be doing, it’s not surprising when you find it difficult to switch off.

Draw Yourself Quiet is a 2.5-hour creative workshop designed to quiet the mental noise and give your attention somewhere else to land.

Using a neurographic-inspired approach to drawing, you’ll explore flowing lines, shapes, connections and colour, allowing your artwork to develop intuitively as you go. The repetitive, absorbing nature of the process encourages you to slow down, focus on what’s happening on the page and become immersed in making.

There’s no need to know how to draw and no predetermined artwork to recreate. You’ll be introduced to the process and materials, then have the freedom to develop your own work intuitively and at your own pace.

The focus is on the experience of making rather than creating a perfect finished artwork.

About the Experience

During the workshop, you’ll:

  • Explore a neurographic-inspired approach to drawing.
  • Work intuitively with line, shape, repetition, connection and colour.
  • Experiment with a range of drawing materials.
  • Create your own individual artwork as the process unfolds.
  • Discover a simple creative practice that you can continue to use at home.

No previous drawing or art experience is needed.
