TERM 4 ART CLASSES | AGES 11+
After a pause in after-school classes during Term 3, Mark Makers Art Studio is bringing back one Wednesday afternoon class for Term 4, for students aged 11+.
Keeping just one class for the term allows for a small group, plenty of individual support and a relaxed space to create, experiment and develop new skills.
Each week, students explore a wide and ever-changing mix of materials, processes and techniques — including (but definitely not limited to!) drawing, painting, clay, collage, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media.
Classes are designed to build skills and confidence through hands-on making and experimentation, while giving students plenty of freedom to explore their own ideas.
Projects are inspired by artists, art movements and ideas from around the world. Through art, students are introduced to a wide range of cultures, perspectives and human experiences — encouraging curiosity, creative thinking and personal expression in a way that’s engaging and age-appropriate.
The focus? Creating, not copying.
Rather than everyone working towards the same finished result, projects are designed to spark ideas and give students the skills and confidence to take their work in their own direction and develop their own unique creative voice.
With small class sizes, students receive individual support while still enjoying the social side of making art alongside others in a relaxed and welcoming studio environment.

With increased traffic and longer travel times around Tewantin continuing into Term 4, families are asked to consider travel time when deciding whether this class will work for them.
Students need to be able to comfortably arrive and be collected within the scheduled class time, as supervision may not be available outside these hours.
Unexpected delays can of course happen; this is simply to ensure that the Wednesday class time is realistically manageable on a regular basis before committing to the term.
Bookings are for the full term and places are limited.
