Discover the joy of working with clay in this relaxed, hands-on workshop exploring the fundamentals of hand-building.

Whether you're completely new to ceramics or looking to reconnect with clay, you'll learn simple techniques to create your own functional or sculptural piece. Rather than striving for perfection, this workshop encourages experimentation, creativity and enjoying the process of making.

You'll explore a range of hand-building techniques including pinch, slab and forming methods, before shaping, refining and decorating your own ceramic piece using a variety of tools and textures.

No previous experience is necessary - just a willingness to get your hands dirty and enjoy the creative process.

Adults (16+)

Beginners through to experienced makers are welcome.

Group Size: Maximum 8 participants (minimum 3).

Small group numbers allow plenty of individual guidance and create a relaxed, supportive workshop environment.

• A water bottle

• Lunch or snacks if you'd like

Additional Information

Your finished work will be professionally fired off-site and will be ready for collection approximately 3–4 weeks after the workshop.

Bookings are essential as places are limited.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 7 or more days before the workshop will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop unless your place can be filled. If Mark Makers Art Studio needs to cancel the workshop, participants will receive a full refund or may transfer their booking to another workshop.
