Workshop: Introduction To Gelli Printing
Product Details

GELLI PRINTING WORKSHOP

Discover the creative possibilities of layered printmaking.

Created especially for Noosa Open Studios, this workshop is led by local artist Lucy Laino. Through experimentation and play, Lucy will share the techniques and creative processes she uses in her own practice while introducing you to the endless possibilities of gelli plate printing in a relaxed, small-group setting.

Gelli plate printing is an intuitive and addictive way to create unique layered prints full of colour, texture and pattern.

Throughout this workshop you'll experiment with acrylic paint, stencils, found materials and a variety of mark-making tools while discovering how layers build depth, interest and unexpected results. You'll also explore simple image transfer techniques and leave with a collection of original prints ready to frame, collage or use in future artworks.

No previous printmaking experience is necessary—just a willingness to experiment, embrace happy accidents and enjoy the process.
