Workshop: Mindful Drawing

Are you feeling stressed, burnt out, or feel that there are just not enough hours in the day? Do you find it hard to 'switch off' and relax? Would you like to take some time out to reconnect to yourself? This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to embark on a creative and mindful experience, through drawing.

Mindful drawing is an accessible, visual technique that can assist in training your attention and awareness. It can help to quiet your mind, improve your focus and reduce general feelings of anxiety or stress, all while expanding your creativity. This active form of meditation and artistic expression focuses on the process of creating, rather than the finished product. As previous drawing experience is not required, it is suitable for beginners through to the more experienced.

Booking are essential as places are strictly limited.

About the Experience:

Over the 2.5 hour workshop, you will be guided by the experienced artist and art teacher through several ‘slow drawing’ warm up exercises, with a focus on the breath and being present. Once settled you will then focus on a guided, intuitive artwork that combines intention and mindfulness, whilst exploring and utilising a variety of mediums and materials. You will take your artwork with you, as well as the skills and knowledge of mindful drawing that can be then incorporated in to your day to day life.
