We like to keep our class sizes small which ensures a calm, individualised approach to learning, whilst fostering a sense of community within the group. Due to this, places are strictly limited. The duration of each class is 75min and the program is implemented over 9 weeks, with all materials and associated costs included. A non-refundable deposit of $50 will secure your child's place in Term 1, 2025. A 10% discount applies to current Term 4 students so if you are returning, please ensure you pick this option upon check out!
The program employs a designed-in scaffolding approach aimed at promoting creativity and building self-esteem, whilst experimenting with a wide range of art materials and art processes. Within each project, artists, art movements, and art history are referenced as students develop skills in drawing, painting, collage, clay, sculpture, and printmaking. The focus is for children to have broad and positive creative experiences, while being encouraged to further develop and embrace their unique creative styles. Classes are run by Lucy Laino, a practicing artist and experienced art teacher of over 15 years. Lucy holds full teachers registration in Queensland and a current first aid certificate.
